Who’s driving your car?

                                                                                                              (by Georgia Gould)

Have you ever gotten in your car and just noticed along the way you got to your destination but you really weren’t paying attention? I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been driving along and turned into the same McDonald’s out of habit, when I was really trying to turn into the bank. It’s like my brain shuts off and my body takes over and its a miracle I’m still alive to tell you about it.  Well such is true in life. We wake up, go to work, come home, sleep and do it again and again and again. Some days I feel like its groundhogs day. I’m wondering, what is the point to all this? I had to get real with myself and recognize my life purpose. Many years of soul searching and lots of learning later, I understood God was calling my name. I already had a relationship with Him but didn’t understand the path I was on until He showed me. I’ve gone deaf thanks to brain tumors. I always wondered WHY? what is the point to all of this? Why is my hearing gone now? It took a while but I realized the more still and quiet I was, the closer I drew to God. He is the only one I can hear now. He has a message for you. He loves you so much and wants to draw near to you as well. The problem we have, is that we all want to DRIVE our own lives. We don’t want to give up on the direction we have worked hard to achieve. But once I handed the keys to God. The road was AMAZING. The turns were not easy to travel. But even though I am deaf now, I can HEAR the Radio when God is driving. I don’t have concerns that I’m going to make it to my destination now. It feels like driving down beach side in a convertible with the sun warming my heart. You just have to turn it over to Him. He’s waiting for you!!!
